From powertrain to airbags, mirror assemblies to seating, Smalley Retaining Rings and Wave Springs are used throughout the automotive industry. The company now announces the upgrade of the automotive certification in accordance with the newest version IATF 16949:2016.
Highest standard of industrial certifications
“IATF 16949 certification takes a new approach to ensuring quality for our customers,” states Blanca Gerue, Smalley’s Quality Systems Manager. “With the implementation of an Automotive Quality Management System (AQMS), we audit the entire manufacturing process, focusing on continuous improvements and defect prevention. We look not only internally, but at the entire supply chain to reduce waste and variation,” states Gerue. Quality is engrained in the operations notes Mrs. Gerue, “Our customers not only specify Smalley for this, but recognize us because of it. Smalley was recently awarded GM’s Supplier Excellence Award for the 5th consecutive year.” All Smalley products are manufactured and certified to the highest standards across all industries including automotive, aerospace and medical.
