The rotary position sensor SRH280P provides reliable and accurate rotary measurement in extreme industrial, motorsport and off-highway environments. It incorporates a factory programmable Hall effect rotary sensor which gives OEMs a wide selection of parameters so they can best configure it to suit their needs. Unlike potentiometer sensors, it can operate in high dither vibration conditions with no deterioration of the sensing element due to the non-contacting operating principle. As a result it offers maximum performance in a variety of high duty cycle applications such as monitoring steering position, suspension and lift system position on municipal, agricultural and construction vehicles. The sensor operates from either a 5Vdc regulated or 9-30Vdc unregulated power supply and for ease of configuration, is available with analogue (0.5 to 4.5Vdc) or digital (Pulse Width Modulated) signal output. As well as a choice of set-up of the output, the sensor is factory programmable and customers can specify the measurement range and output direction.
