The T40 torque flange range has been expanded with two nominal torques of 500Nm and 3kNm. Most torque measurement applications in test benches can now be easily covered when combined with the two existing flanges of nominal (rated) torques of 1kNm and 2kNm. The torque flange is designed with a short overall length to allow simplified integration into a test bench. In addition, the flanges are relatively insensitive to parasitic loads allowing machine elements to be directly mounted without needing additional universal-joint shafts or couplings. The T40 was designed for rugged operation and is maintenance-free as it has no slip rings or bearings. The use of digital data transfer between the rotor and stator ensures reliable data acquisition and transmission. The measured torque is output either via a voltage or frequency output.
