Thermal anemometers of Schmidt Technology measure the flow velocity and volumetric flows of process gases independently of pressure and temperature, as the sensor only detects the number of molecules flowing past it. These thermal anemometers do not require any mechanical components, resulting into a long service life of the sensors and insensitivity to impacts and vibrations. Furthermore the sensor is insensitive to any drift during operation. Thermal anemometers are ideal for monitoring and control of industrial processes.
