IBM Cell/B.E. Blades, efficient H.264 codecs and optimised image processing components offer the base for these very compact DVS solutions. For image acquisition in BladeCenters, two optimized solutions are offered depending on the size of the installation: CAU SideCar and CAU Enclosure. The frame grabbers mvHYPERION-16R16 and -32R16 are the cores of both solutions, which can acquire 16 video channels in real-time over PCIe x4.
