WEG, a global leader in automation and control technologies, has appointed Andrew Glover as its European and Middle East Low Voltage Motors Product Manager. Andrew has been with the company for over 11 years, first joining WEG as Business Development Manager before progressing through to European Hazardous Area Motors product manager. His latest role sees his existing responsibilities as WEG's Low Voltage Motors product manager for the UK, being extended to include a Pan-European and Middle East remit with responsibility to report back to headquarters in Brazil.

"The appointment as WEG's European and Middle East Low Voltage Motors product manager is a great opportunity for me to help align WEG's products and markets and further support the company's sales and marketing teams to develop a winning strategy across the regions," said Andrew. "Initially, my focus is to safeguard the smooth launch of WEG's W22X range but I also want to ensure that WEG continues to take a proactive approach to working with relevant industry bodies and responding to legislation that affects our company, customers and the wider industry. I see this as a role that will evolve over time and I'm really excited by the prospect".

Regarding Andrew's appointment, Managing Director of WEG Motors in Brazil, Siegfried Kreutzfeld said: "Andrew has been with WEG for over a decade and not only does he have an extensive knowledge of our company and products, he has also amassed a wealth of experience and understanding in our key markets. Andrew has a strong vision for his new position and we believe he is well equipped to contribute to the greater success of WEG across the European and Middle East regions".
