Westermo, a Beijer Group brand, has finalized the acquisition of Virtual Access Limited. Virtual Access is a technology company based in Dublin, Ireland that specializes in wireless industrial routers and gateways. It also deals with the management of connectivity services for utility, traffic management, and telecommunications clients. For this reason, it represents a strong complementary fit to Westermo.

Complementary fit

Jenny Sjödahl, CEO of Westermo stated, “The acquisition of Virtual Access will strengthen Westermo’s offering to the power distribution and utility markets, by providing an expanded remote access technology portfolio supported by our worldwide sales network.”
The acquisition will be mutually beneficial and unlock more opportunities: Virtual Access’ expertise in cellular remote access solutions will be instrumental for Westermo and Westermo’s global presence will expand the reach of Virtual Access’ technologies.
