SKF introduces customized kits to provide sets of replacement bearings for use in specific wind turbine gearboxes. With the myriad of gearbox arrangements currently in place, the capability to replace damaged bearings with the right parts, available at the right time from a single trusted source can save time and trouble for manufacturers, service companies and utilities operating wind farms worldwide. Initially the range will cover some of the gearboxes typically found in older turbines and will continually expand to cover many of the popular types.
