The ‘plug and play’ wireless temperature sensor for rough test stand operation is especially designed by Manner Sensortelemetrie for supervision of critical temperatures of devices. The temperature sensor is robust, simple to handle and needs no change of the batteries within 6 months of operational time. The sensor is mounted at the measuring point via a clamp. The integrated temperature sensor measures the temperature of the device’s surface and transmits the data to the receiving unit via radio transmission. The measuring range for this method is -40 to 120°C. For very hot temperature measurements a standard thermocouple can be attached to the wireless temperature sensor that is located at a cooler location. The sampling rate of the sensors is programmable and 1s at default. The measured data is transmitted real-time to the receiving unit. A remarkable point is the power-saving operation mode and the transmitting range of about 30m.
